Fringe Benefits

I originally bought this scarf because of its size and its amazing color and fringe. Then I realized this is A LOT of scarf. I'm "fun-sized" and it literally was just too much for my small frame. I didn't want to get rid of it, so I found a new way to incorporate it into my wardrobe.

From My Collection...

With all this crazy weather we've been having, shooting for my blog has been "limited." I thought I'd share a few of my favorite (vintage) things with you to give you an inside look at my personal style (which changes almost daily). Back to my regular shooting this weekend!

Vintage brooches and clip earrings. Bracelet and earrings set last seen here

The loveliest mirror compact given to me for my birthday.

A statement vintage cuff bought at an antique market. Love it here.

THE BEST high-waist pencil skirt restyled from a vintage floor-length gown.

My favorite 1950s party dress.

70s Maxi

I love a standout print…especially on a 1970s maxi.

Seeing spots

I stalked this dress at a vintage store for five months. It was floor-length and I had it shortened.  It's kind of amazing.

Great lengths

I don't usually do maxi skirts or dresses since I'm "fun-sized," but this vintage cherry number just works.

Remix

After some major alterations, this floor-length dress was made into a high-waist skirt. Tailored just right for the perfect fit, in my favorite color. My very own style remix.

Original dress. A consignment store find.

After some MAJOR tailoring, my new high-waist skirt.

Bugle bead detailing.

Skirt (consignment store find), Top (American Apparel, also seen here), Shoes (Nine West), Watch (Michael Kors), Brooch (vintage)

Favorite silhouette

I love a full skirt paired with a fitted top, especially one with pockets. And a bold cherry lip is just the right finishing touch...

Easily one of my favorite summer dresses. I love the bright blue. Easy, effortless, and a standout in the crowd.
